We Care
Since 1977, we have been the leader in healthy, vegetarian
natural foods and products for the people of Hawaii. At Down
to Earth, we care about your health and make every effort
possible to ensure that you can find everything you need to
live a healthy lifestyle.

Our Core Values
Caring – we care about our customers
and seek to satisfy their needs by selling products that are
both good for them and the planet. We seek to be sensitive
to the needs of others and treat our team members, vendors,
and our community with dignity and respect. We care about
the well being of all living entities, including the animals,
and express this by offering only healthy, vegetarian foods,
and cruelty-free products.
Integrity – we are dedicated to acting
with integrity in all of our decisions and interactions with
our customers, team members, vendors and the community. When
we say we will do something, we will do everything in our
power to be true to our word. We strive to be open and honest
in all of our relationships and dealings with others.
Commitment – we are
committed to the ideals and goals that we were founded upon
and will continue striving to be one of the nation’s
leading retailers of healthy, vegetarian foods and natural
living products. We think it is important to do things right
and will always feel commitment towards the health and well-being
of our customers, team members, our community and our environment.
Safety – the safety and well being
of our team members at Down to Earth is our number one priority.
We require that all team members work in a safe and healthy
environment. We must have committed team members, with high
morale, working safely. An unsafe operation results in low
morale, poor performance, poor quality and high costs which,
if unchecked, will result in business failure. Our only safety
goal is Zero Accidents, Zero Incidents, and Zero Injuries.
Teamwork – at Down to Earth we are
a team, working and cooperating together to achieve our common
goals. While our roles may vary, we are all equal as each
team member plays an important part in the fulfillment of
our mission. Our team leaders provide the direction, encouragement,
coaching and support to help our team members achieve success.
