I never knew it would take so many workers to supply our food. The essential job of the farmer has been highly under rated and appreciated. It is hard work and many don't realize that not only is it a sacrifice but it is a necessity. Someone must do this work and we shouldn't expect others to do it for us, especially under harsh conditions without any rights. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Those are good questions to ask. We garden, talk about the water cycle and what's required to purify our catchment water so that we can drink it. We discuss the various ways energy is generated on Big Island that powers our light switches. Yet I'm thinking a great way to expand would be to visit the different places, such as the geothermal plant in Puna, the wind farms, the hydroelectric plant.
