Beware of Your Friendly Dentist! Part2
By Hesh
Goldstein
Last Month we talked about
honest dentists. Well, what about the pro-fluoridationists?
Why won't they debate? Why won't they discuss? Why won't
they hold forums? Maybe this comment by Michael Easley,
one of the main speakers and proponents of fluoridation
will explain this: "Any
discussion, forum or debate on fluoridation will lend credibility
to the other side. This must be avoided at all costs".
The man is a true humanitarian. He goes right along with
our Dental Chief, Dr. Mark Greer.
As I see it, those promoting fluoridation have a formidable
task.
• They have to persuade us that using the public water supply to deliver medication
is acceptable.
• They have to persuade us that it is acceptable to use
a chemical (Hexafluorosilicic acid) which, according to the
US EPA, has never been subjected to long term animal testing
( the animals always get screwed).
• They have to persuade us that the practice significantly
reduces dental decay in children.
• They have to persuade us that it is safe :
a) for bottle fed babies to consume 100 times the levels normally found in
mothers' milk, which is 0.01 ppm.
b) for everyone, regardless of their health status.
c) to consume fluoride at 1ppm in our water every day for a whole lifetime,
even though approximately 50% of what we ingest accumulates in our bones.
d) to consume the fluoride in water in addition to the fluoride in processed
foods and beverages made with fluoridated water, dental products, and all other
sources we are exposed to on a daily basis, which is 1.6 to 6.6 mg per day
in a fluoridated community.
• They have to
persuade us that this program is so important and the risks so minimal that
it justifies
the government's decision to override the individual's right to "informed
consent" to medication - a
cornerstone of modern medical ethics.
The promoters of fluoridation cannot
do this and that is why they refuse to debate this issue
on a public platform. They know full well that fluoridation
is:
Unethical
Unnecessary
Inequitable
Inefficient
Unsafe
Unscientifically promoted
A massive distraction from the real causes of dental decay, and that
Fluoride's alleged effectiveness is topical (on the surface) and only after
the tooth has come into the mouth.
Aloha!
