Despite the 604 million people who signed the petition in protest, the directive was pushed through anyway paving the way for health food stores to close and the pharmaceutical/medical alliance to take over the dispensing of vitamins in Europe. Are we next?

In picking up where we left off last month when we learned that the medical/pharmaceutical alliance in Europe is trying to make vitamin supplements available only by prescription from a physician, it did not go unnoticed by the people in Europe. 600 million people read about this news and shouted back with a resounding, "NO"! In what is believed to be the largest global online petition ever, a staggering 604 million people, so far, have added their names, demanding continued free access to natural remedies. No matter where you live, let your voice be heard. If you believe in the availability of natural supplements and that they should not be controlled by the international pharmaceutical industry, sign the online petition. This website was created by Dr. Matthias Rath, a leading researcher in the field of natural treatments for cancer, and one of the most prominent campaigners against the EU Directive. For those of you who would believe that this is a European issue and that it couldn't happen here, consider this: the United States and the European Union are each other's largest trade and investment partners.
