PECAN DROPS
You won’t believe how good these simple treats are until you try them.

1 C. pitted, moist dates
2 C. pecans, finely ground
1 tsp. finely grated orange peel
30 pecan halves

1. Chop the dates coarsely, then add the ground pecans and orange peel, kneading together with your hands to form a dough.
2. Roll dough into balls the size of walnuts and place on a baking sheet. They will not spread, so they can be placed close together. Press a pecan half into the center of each.
3. Bake in the upper third of a 325 degree oven for 12-15 minutes, or until bottoms are lightly browned.

Yield: 30 servings
