Cashew Gravy

This is a nutritious, non-dairy gravy.

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ C. filtered water
  • 2/3 C. cashew pieces (from our bulk bins, pieces are a nice low price)
  • 2 Tbsp. tapioca flour, arrowroot, or corn starch
  • 2 Tbsp. Braggs liquid aminos
  • 1 ½ tsp. onion powder
  • ½ tsp. sea salt

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
  2. Cook in a double boiler on medium heat until thick. Don't let the double boiler scare you-just place a small pot inside a larger pot full of water.
