Walnut Parsely Gravy

This recipe is from the North American Vegetarian Society's booklet: "Vegetarianism, Tipping the Scales for the Environment."

Ingredients

  • ½ C. walnut pieces
  • ½ C. parsley, chopped
  • 1 ½ C. water
  • 2 ½ Tbsp. arrowroot powder or cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Blend ingredients. Put in saucepan over low heat and stir until thickened.
