Holiday Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 2 C. basmati rice or long grain brown rice
  • 4 C. filtered water
  • ½ tsp. sea salt
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 C. onion, diced
  • ½ C. celery, diced
  • 1 tsp. sage powder
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder or granules
  • 1 tsp. Spike seasoning salt
  • ½ C. walnuts, chopped
  • ½ C. raisins

Instructions

  1. Rinse rice well and add water and salt. Bring to a boil, cover and turn to low heat, simmering for 20 minutes(for white) or 40 minutes (for brown) until all water is absorbed. Turn off heat; leave covered.
  2. Sauté the remaining ingredients.
  3. Add the sautéed ingredients to the rice and mix well. Cover until ready to serve.
