Mock Chicken Tofu

Ingredients

  • 2-3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 block firm tofu
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce or Bragg Liquid Aminos
  • 1 tsp. Spike seasoning salt
  • 1/3 cup nutritional yeast
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Drain tofu and press in paper towel to remove excess water. Set aside.
  2. Heat the oil in a frying pan on med-high heat. Add the tofu by breaking it into bite-sized pieces. Fry the tofu until golden brown on each side for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Add the soy sauce (or Liquid Aminos) and Spike.
  4. Turn off the heat and add the nutritional yeast and black pepper to taste. Stir until all the tofu is coated with yeast.
