1. Wash and slice yams and put in boiling water to cook. Cook until tender enough to mash, about 8 minutes.
2. Drain and mash. Mix in the pineapple and spices.
3. Put yams in a lightly oiled casserole dish.
4. Combine last ingredients and mix well. Sprinkle evenly over the yams.
5. Bake at 375 degrees for about 25 minutes.
