What would life be without tofu? We think it'd be kind of a bummer. This flavor chameleon is crazy versatile and easy to cook. Sure there's always something new and flashy out there trending but a special spot in our hearts will always be saved for the one, the only, TOFU!
Over the years, functional or medicinal mushrooms have gotten more popular and we are stoked about it! Why? More and more studies have found that functional mushrooms could help with improving immune health, brain health, overall energy and help your body absorb more nutrients. Beyond cooking the mushrooms we're all familiar with - white, button, portabella - our nutrient dense fungi friends are now available in supplements, powders, and even chocolate! This might be where the mushroom varieties may become a little unfamiliar - Reishi, Turkey Tail, Tremella, etc.
We were blown away by the talented keiki chefs who entered our first contest featuring their spin on the classic peanut butter and jelly combo (who knew that PB&J could be so fun?). We're back with another fun challenge, a Smoothie Bowl! Smoothie bowls are a great, easy way to make healthy eating colorful and fun. We love the different combos out there to make a Smoothie Bowl and the best part, decorating the top! Fresh fruit and fun toppings make smoothie bowls a creative experience.
