Honolulu, HI (July 13th, 2012) – Congratulations to Angelique Showman on winning the $350 gift card drawing in honor of Down to Earth's 35th anniversary. The drawing was held at the end of May as part of our “35th Anniversary Day Sale - 35% off 35 of our best-selling items." To enter the drawing, people simply "liked" us on Facebook. From print to digital media, word got out and many of you were able to take advantage of our in-store and Facebook promotions. Thanks to you, both events were a huge success. Over 1,500 new fans joined our Facebook community! Your enthusiastic support showed through all the “Likes,” posts, and comments. One customer said she never knew we had such an awesome Facebook page (just sayin'). In the end, one lucky winner was drawn and Angelique couldn't have been happier. Mahalo to each of you for making our anniversary such a great success, and for helping us mark 35 years of service to Hawaii providing delicious all-vegetarian food that is good for you and the environment.
Congratulations Facebook Photo Contest Winners!
Check out the winning photos that were submitted for our very first contest on Facebook. We asked fans to submit a photo of themselves, a friend, or family member at a Down to Earth store. The photos with the most comments earned the winner a $35 gift card in honor of our 35th anniversary. As it turned out, two lucky winners received a gift card when the contest ended in a tie! Huge congrats to Jean StavRue-Pe'ahi for submitting daughter, Lilinoe’s photo and to Cheryl Takushi Naholowaa for her daughter Mia’s photo.
