Brown Butter Sage Sauce

Fresh sage is at its very best paired with browned butter. Use this as a dip for breads, on pasta, or with squashes.
Yield
1/2 cup sauce
Ingredients
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 2-4 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ cup chopped fresh sage leaves
  • pinch each sea salt and black pepper
Instructions
  1. Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until just browned.
  2. Add sage and stir continuously until sage wilts and butter starts to brown. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Serve with baked squash, sautéed vegetables, pasta, or as a dip. Enjoy!
