Deb’s Raw Cheese Pâté

This vegan substitute for cheese was created by one of our Down to Earth customers. Raw, vegan “cheese” is a terrific alternative to dairy cheese, especially for those who are allergic to dairy products. Nuts are the base of this pâté, so it is very filling.

Ingredients
- 1 cup raw cashews (soaked and drained)
- 2 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- ½ red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 Tablespoon onion pieces
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 2 Tablespoons nutritional yeast
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon liquid aminos
- Paprika for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Place everything into a blender and blend until creamy.
- Garnish with paprika (optional) and serve with raw crackers or sliced veggies. Enjoy!
