Essential Job Functions

Customer Service - Provide excellent customer service through positive interactions, always. Actively engage customers to find out what the customer wants; and get the product for them accurately, politely and enthusiastically!

Product Knowledge – Know, understand and support the company’s purpose to provide high-quality, local, organic, plant-based products.

Merchandise With Flair - Meet the customers’ standards of cleanliness and fulfillment by performing the eight golden rules of Down to Earth merchandising. 

Attendance & Punctuality – Being present and on-time when scheduled is essential to fulfilling our mission of service to our customers.

Be Productive – As a team of mission-driven individuals, work cooperatively and collaboratively with fellow Team Members to ensure success. Be productive, be present, be part of the team. 

Wellness Clerk II – In addition, a Wellness Clerk Level II may also be assigned additional duties such as purchasing.

Assistant Wellness Manager, Clerk III – Managerial reliever to the Wellness Manager. Responsible for the operational performance of the Wellness Department, while on shift. Together, the Wellness Manager and Assistant Wellness Manager share in the successful achievement of all departmental goals. 

Experience

Wellness Clerk I - No prior retail experience required. 

 

Wellness Clerk II – Minimum of 6 months retail experience.

Assistant Wellness Manager, Clerk III – 

  • Minimum of two years retail experience. 

  • Minimum of one year experience in purchasing, merchandising and selling supplements.

  • Formal education in natural health, nutrition and/or healing preferred.

Skills

Each product has its own story, benefits and uses. Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in the department.

Problem Solving – Ability to solve a variety of situations in a productive, friendly and courteous manner. 

Ability to communicate effectively with fellow Team Members and customers.

Ability to perform basic computer functions, particularly whilst utilizing Microsoft programs. 

Starting Pay

Wellness Clerk I – $18 per hour

Wellness Clerk II – $20 per hour

Assistant Wellness Manager, Clerk III - $22 per hour
