Oat Milk

Using oats instead of nuts is a great way to save time and money when making non dairy milks!
  • 1 cup oats
  • 4 cups water
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Optional:
  • 2-3 pitted dates
  • 1 tespoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  1. In a small bowl, cover oats with water. Let sit until oats have absorbed some of the water, about 10 minutes.
  2. Drain oats and transfer to a blender. For a savory milk, just add salt and water. For a sweet milk, also add dates and vanilla.
  3. Blend until oats are broken down. Strain milk and transfer to an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week.
