Brown Butter Sage Sauce

Fresh sage is at its very best paired with browned butter. Use this as a dip for breads, on pasta, or with squashes.
Yield
1/2 cup sauce
Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 2-4 garlic cloves, minced
- ½ cup chopped fresh sage leaves
- pinch each sea salt and black pepper
Instructions
- Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until just browned.
- Add sage and stir continuously until sage wilts and butter starts to brown. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve with baked squash, sautéed vegetables, pasta, or as a dip. Enjoy!
