Nutty Carob Brownies
These nutty carob brownies are gluten-free, sugar-free, and made with almond butter, maple syrup, carob powder and walnuts. Oh and they're ridiculously delicious!
2 large or 4 small brownies
  1. ⅓ cup carob powder
  2. ¾ cup almond butter
  3. ½ cup maple syrup
  4. 1 tablespoon melted coconut oil
  5. 3 tablespoons brown rice flour
  6. ½ teaspoon baking powder
  7. pinch of salt
  8. 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
  1. Prep - Preheat the oven to 325, and line a 9x5" bread loaf pan with parchment paper, leaving extra on the ends so that you can easily lift out your brownies when they're done.
  2. Wet - In a medium saucepan, combine the carob powder, almond butter, maple syrup, and coconut oil. Stir well. 
  3. Dry - Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in and medium bowl. 
  4. Combine - Combine the wet and dry mixtures and stir to blend very well. Pour the mixture into the pan.
  5. Bake - Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.  Remove from the oven, let cool completely, and then chill in the fridge for best results.
