HONOLULU, HI (Dec. 13, 2017) — Down to Earth Organic & Natural has published its first Cookbook and will begin selling it in its stores on Thursday Dec. 14th.  The “Down to Earth Cookbook” is a soft-cover 112-page book that includes 40 vegetarian recipes, one for each year of the company’s history, and beautiful pictures of each dish.  The recipes are a collaboration by vegetarian chefs of the Community Outreach Team at Down to Earth.

Honolulu, Hawaii (June 20, 2017) -- Down to Earth has won FIRST PLACE in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser’s 2017 People’s Choice Award for Best Health Food Store, which was announced Sunday, June 18th.  Down to Earth was selected as the winner of this award by readers of the Star-Advertiser, Hawaii’s only statewide daily newspaper.  Down to Earth has won this award eleven years in a row.

Down to Earth to Relocate its Kailua Store Into Former Macy's Building

Honolulu, HI (Feb. 6, 2017) -- Down to Earth Organic & Natural will relocate and expand its 6,000 square foot Kailua store into a 15,000 square foot space in the former Macy’s Building that is being re-developed by Alexander & Baldwin Inc. The new Down to Earth Kailua store is planned to open in late 2018/early 2019.

Honolulu, HI (Jan. 25, 2017) -- Down to Earth Organic & Natural has signed a long-term lease with Washington Prime Group, of Columbus, Ohio, for a new, stand-alone 10,000 square foot store that will be built at the Pearlridge Shopping Center on Oahu.  Pearlridge Center is the largest enclosed shopping center in Hawaii.  The new Down to Earth store is planned to open in the second half of 2018.

Honolulu, HI (Nov. 17, 2016) -- The new Down to Earth store is slated to open in early to mid 2018.  It will be a 13,000 square foot location on the ground floor of Keauhou Lane at the corner of Keawe St. and Pohukaina St., just a few blocks behind the SALT at Our Kaka’ako cultural center. 

New DTE Community Outreach Team Leader

We have a new Community Outreach Team Leader and we’re thrilled to tell you about her. What makes this announcement so exciting is that Sabra Rebo is a Registered Dietitian (RD). This is the first time in our 39-year history that we count an RD among our ranks.

Down to Earth has again won the Star-Advertiser’s People’s Choice Award for 2016 Best Health Food Store. Ten years in a row!

The announcement was made in the Star-Advertiser on Sunday, June 19th. The award was selected by readers, who had to fill out a hard-copy form and mail it in.  So the result is a true reflection of our standing in the community.
