New Alkaline Purified Water Now On Sale at Our Water Dispensers!

Honolulu, HI (Mar. 14, 2012) – Water dispensers at all Down to Earth locations now offer alkaline purified drinking water at the special introductory sale price of $1.49 per gallon (Reg. $1.99 per gallon). The sale price for alkaline water is effective from March 15th through April 11th. Standard purified water continues to be offered at $0.50 cents per gallon. Purified water is fresh, clean water that keeps your body hydrated and running smoothly without the effects of harmful chemicals that can pose a threat to your health.

Resist appeals to prop up Oahu slaughterhouse

Hawaii's two largest kamaaina supermarket chains have agreed to stop selling freshly killed pork from a taxpayer-subsidized slaughterhouse on Oahu. The move could shut down island's only slaughterhouse for lack of profitability, but that would reflect supply and demand, with a significant nudge by animal rights activists. The state should refrain from intervening further after throwing good money after bad in recent years.
