Sustainable Starter Kit Shopping Guide - Earth Day

Photo: Sustainable Gifts from Down to Earth

April is here and Earth Day is near! Earth Day is recognized as the largest civic event in the world - a day to raise awareness and inspire action towards the protection of the environment and focus on the need for conservation. These are all very much incorporated in everything that Down To Earth does. Every year, we love celebrating Earth Day all month long! Plastic waste is a big topic in Hawaii because we see firsthand the effects on our very own beaches. The biggest problem with replacing plastic with more environmentally-friendly materials is that it is hard to find alternatives that have the same quality and function. This is why we've put together some of our favorite local products and a few all-natural options that will help reduce your plastic waste!

Hydro Flask Wide Mouth, 1.18 L

These water bottles are so cute and just as functional. They come in a variety of sizes and colors, are made from stainless steel, and feature double-wall, vacuum-insulated tech that keeps contents hot or cold when needed. Most importantly, they allow you to cut out so many plastic bottles because they’re completely reusable!
